Terms of Service
These terms explain how you may use Pasture, what our directory does — and doesn't — do, and where responsibility sits when you buy from a farm.
1. What Pasture is
Pasture is a free, informational directory of organic and grass-fed farms. We are an independent directory service — not a farm, butcher, retailer, or marketplace. We don't raise, process, package, sell, ship, or take payment for any of the products shown here.
Everything you buy is arranged directly between you and the farm. Our job is to help you find them.
2. Using the directory
You may browse, search, and contact farms for your own personal, non-commercial use. When using Pasture, please don't:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-copy listings, or republish the directory elsewhere;
- use the contact details in a listing to send unsolicited bulk messages or marketing;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or bypass the security of the site;
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
3. Listings and accuracy
Listings are compiled from public information and from submissions by farmers themselves. Farming practices and certifications are self-declared: we don't inspect farms, test products, or verify organic certification.
Details such as products, practices, opening hours, and availability change throughout the year and can be out of date. Please confirm directly with a farm before relying on a listing — and if something looks wrong, tell us through the contact page so we can review it.
4. Submitting a farm
If you submit a farm, you confirm that you're authorised to do so and that the details you provide are accurate. Listing is free.
We may edit, decline, or remove any listing at any time — including entries that are outdated, misleading, duplicated, or that we can't verify.
5. Advertising
Pasture is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads and sponsored placements are labelled, and they appear alongside the farms we list. An ad appearing on Pasture is not a recommendation, endorsement, or verification of the advertiser or its products.
Advertising cookies are only set with your permission where the law requires it.
- Cookie Policy — what we store and how to change your choice
6. No professional advice
Nothing on Pasture is medical, nutritional, veterinary, legal, or financial advice. Farming, certification, and product claims in a listing come from the farm that made them, not from us.
7. Buying from farms, and food safety
Any order, delivery, pickup, payment, or farm visit you arrange with a farm is between you and that farm. Food safety, labelling claims, quality, pricing, availability, refunds, and delivery are the farm's responsibility.
We don't intermediate transactions or disputes, and we can't guarantee any farm's products, practices, or conduct.
8. Your account
Some features — such as reviewing the messages and listing requests you've sent — need an account. You need to be 16 or over to create one, and the directory is intended for adults arranging food directly with farms.
Keep your sign-in details private and your information accurate, since you're responsible for activity on your account.
We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
9. Our content
Pasture's name, design, directory compilation, and written content belong to us. Farm names, logos, and photographs belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify and describe the farm.
Please don't copy or reuse our content without permission.
10. Other websites
Listings link to farms' own websites and to third-party services. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we don't control or endorse their content.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the directory online and useful, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We may add, change, or discontinue features or parts of the service at any time.
12. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Pasture isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the directory, a listing, an advertisement, or a purchase you make from a farm — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you've paid us for the service. Pasture is free to use, so that amount is nil. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
13. These terms
By using Pasture you accept these terms. They're written to apply worldwide, without naming one country's law as governing: any dispute we can't settle informally is handled under the mandatory consumer law of the place where you live.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable where you are, the rest of them still apply.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the directory evolves. The date below shows the current version, and continuing to use Pasture after a change means you accept the updated terms.
